Our Mission

Employer Benefits & Advice was established to better represent the interests of employers whose business needs were not being met by traditional health insurance salesmen.

Our Reason

Most business owners will agree that becoming an employer often complicates attempts to run a successful business. Trying to make and sell widgets while keeping employees happy, safe, and productive within the confines of employment law can be a daunting task.

At Employer Benefits & Advice we aim to ease the burden of being an employer so you can focus on the revenue-generating aspects of the business. Our proven success in this regard continues to attract a large following of trusting, reputable clientele who look to us to solve their benefit, compliance and workforce issues.

Our Experience

We bring over 30 years of experience consulting with employers of all sizes, industries and complexities, operating both domestic and internationally in all facets of employee benefits, human resources, and labor compliance. Whether it be Workmen’s Compensation, representing private insurance companies, or acting as independent consultants, all of our experience has been gathered while advocating to protect the interests of employers.

Boots on the Ground

Since the beginning our Principal and founder, Joanna Morrow has stood out from her peers with her “boots on the ground” philosophy when it comes to servicing employers. She believes that employee benefits should solve larger problems for employers and what better way to gain intimate knowledge of those issues than to visit and experience our client’s operations first hand.

Workplace Tours

This underlying philosophy has led to many adventures that saw us visit potash mines, steel mills, pulp mills, oil & gas refineries, hog production farms, cattle processing plants, software engineering firms, as well as various manufacturing, and construction operations. We work hard to gain a thorough understanding of the work environment, workforce, processes and unique challenges plaguing our clients. 

Business Veterans

Our hands-on approach is characteristic of a genuine passion for helping others succeed in business. Our Principal and founder, Joanna Morrow attributes this passion to her upbringing in an enterprising family. Her maternal grandparents owned the local grocery store. Her paternal grandparents were successful grain farmers. Her father was a police officer who went on to pursue a law degree, operating his own practice for nearly 30 years. When he wasn’t in court he operated the family farm. Joanna and her brothers learned at an early age the value of hard work, and inevitably grew up to be business owners themselves.
